Laura Ruano, MFTi Candidate

Laura Ruano, MFTi Candidate holds a Masters degree in Marriage and Family therapy and has acquired over 10 years of experience working in mental health, specializing in counseling abused and neglected children and working on multi-cultural issues with the Latino community.

She has provided intensive behavior modification work in group homes, schools and psychiatric hospitals providing mental health services for behaviorally challenged children and adolescents. Working with adults, couples and families, she provides psychotherapy as an intern, as well as teaching anger management and parenting classes.

She is a Reiki Master, who, like her mentor Dr. Lisa Cooney sees the strength, value and boundless potential in each person and beauty in people that they can't always see in themselves. With an intense passion for healing others, ignited by her own

profoundly healing experience in the LEAP program, she credits LEAP with completely transforming her life. Driven to provide the same life changing experience for everyone she now proudly Assists at the LEAP workshops and programs. Her goal is to bring the bliss of the healing experience of LEAP to as many lives as possible.
